Legal and privacy information

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Introduction

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using our website or submitting information, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details you provide (e.g., name, email address, organization, job title) when you submit a form.
  • Files you attach to a quotation request, such as drawings or specifications.
  • Order and billing details when you make a purchase. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never received or stored by us.
  • Communication preferences if you opt in to receive updates about our products or services.

Information collected automatically

  • Pages you view, the site or search that referred you, how long you stay on a page, how far you scroll, and which documents you download.
  • Browser and device type.
  • Your IP address. We use it to derive an approximate location (country, region, city) and to identify the organization or network your connection belongs to — for example a university, research institute, or company.
  • An identifier stored in your browser so we can recognize return visits. It is not linked to your name unless you also submit a form.
  • Advertising click identifiers (such as Google's gclid) and campaign tags when you arrive from an advertisement, so we can tell which campaigns lead to enquiries.

How We Use Information

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide requested materials (e.g., equipment guides).
  • Process and fulfill orders.
  • Improve our website, products, and services.
  • Understand which organizations are interested in our equipment, so our sales team knows where to follow up. This includes an automated step in which the organization name derived from your IP address is classified by an AI model and given a relevance rating. The assessment is about the organization, not about you as an individual, and it is used only to prioritize our own outreach.
  • Measure which advertising campaigns lead to enquiries, including by reporting completed enquiries back to advertising platforms using the click identifier from your original visit.
  • With your consent, send occasional updates about products, events, and insights (1-2 emails per month). You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each email.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with service providers who process it on our behalf and are bound to use it only for the services we request:

  • Hosting and infrastructure — Amazon Web Services.
  • Website analytics — Google Analytics and Segment.
  • Customer relationship management — HubSpot.
  • Live chat — Tawk.to.
  • Automated organization classification — Amazon Bedrock. Only the organization name derived from your IP address is sent; no contact details are included.
  • Email delivery — SendGrid and Amazon SES.
  • Payments — Stripe, which receives your payment details directly.
  • Advertising measurement — Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, to which we report that an enquiry occurred against the click identifier from your original visit.

Retention & Security

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask for corrections or updates to your data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@ninescrolls.com.

Cookies & Your Choices

We use cookies and similar browser storage to measure how the site is used and to run live chat. Measurement starts when you arrive; we do not wait for you to accept anything.

You can stop it at any time using the Opt out button on the notice, which you can reopen from the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. The same link lets you turn measurement back on if you change your mind.

When you opt out we stop our own measurement, delete the identifiers we had stored in your browser, switch off Google Analytics, tell HubSpot to stop tracking and clear its cookies, and remove the live chat widget.

Your choice is stored in your browser, so you will need to make it again on a different browser or device, or if you clear your browsing data. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
